Hola!
My name is Meghan, I am a 22-year-old, very-soon-to-be college grad enjoying life while I wait for an assignment from the Peace Corps! I started this blog at the end of last Summer when I applied for the Peace Corps in order to document my experience and keep my family and friends updated with my PC status. I knew the application process would be slow and tedious, but I didn’t really think that through when starting my blog so in all the time in between news from the Peace Corps you get to enjoy my mindless ramblings
As of now, I have applied, been accepted into the Peace Corps and nominated to go to the Pacific Islands to teach English in September. I am currently waiting to receive a “formal invitation” that will tell me exactly where I would go, when I would leave and the job I will be doing (most likely teaching English). The Peace Corps is under no obligation to even extend an invitation to all of their nominees, so I am praying that I will be selected in this very competitive market. Last I heard they would be getting to my file at the end of the month (today is April 29th…)
In other news…
These are some of the other things I find interesting that you might run into this here blog:
Children. I watch them, I teach them, I write down the hilarious things they say so I can blog about them.
Anthropology.
Nutrition/fitness.
My church, The Well.
Food. Food. And more food.
Good times with my friends and family. They make me laugh so hard my cheeks hurt.
